Welcome! You’ll find us at the Normangee Church of Christ to be a loving congregation of Christians striving to live godly lives according to the pattern found in the New Testament.
When you visit, you can expect worship that is simple, reverent, and rooted in Scripture. Our aim is not to entertain, but to honor God according to His word.
During our assembly, we sing praises to God, pray, study from the Scriptures, partake of the Lord’s Supper on the first day of the week, give as we have prospered, and hear a message from God’s word.
We know visiting a new congregation can feel unfamiliar, so we want you to feel welcome. If you have questions about what we do, why we do it, or what the Bible teaches, we would be happy to study with you.

We invite you to join us for Bible study and worship.
Each week, we gather to praise God, study His word, encourage one another, and remember the death of Christ. If special events, gospel meetings, singing nights, or other announcements are scheduled, they will be shared here or on our Facebook page.
There are three distinct areas in which you may find us to be different than what you’re accustomed to. These areas include the way we worship, our members, and what we hold as our standard for living.
What Sets Us Apart
Our desire is not to follow human tradition, personal preference, or popular religious trends. We seek to worship and serve God according to the pattern revealed in the New Testament.
Our
Worship
Our worship is simple, reverent, and Bible-based. When we assemble, we sing, pray, study from God’s word, give as we have prospered, and partake of the Lord’s Supper on the first day of the week.
Our
Members
We are Christians — nothing more and nothing less. Though we all come from different backgrounds, we are united by our common bond in Christ and our desire to follow Him faithfully.
Our
Standard
The Bible is our standard in all that we do and teach. We believe God has revealed His will through the Scriptures, and we strive to have book, chapter, and verse authority for our worship, doctrine, and practice.
Our Beliefs
As New Testament Christians, the Bible is our authority. We must have book, chapter, and verse for anything we do. Our mission is to walk according to God’s word while sharing the gospel with others as we navigate through life.
We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and that it gives us everything we need for life, godliness, worship, doctrine, and service. Because of this, we aim to speak where the Bible speaks, remain silent where the Bible is silent, and hold fast to the pattern revealed in the New Testament.
At the Normangee Church of Christ, we strive to glorify God by worshiping Him in spirit and truth and by being fellow laborers in the mission of Christ.
The work of the Lord’s church includes:
Evangelism
Sharing the gospel of Christ and helping others learn what God has revealed in His word.
Edification
Building up and encouraging the saints through worship, Bible study, fellowship, and faithful teaching.
Benevolence
Doing good as we have opportunity and showing care toward those in need.
